Kiddies Club
The Holiday Inn Tiberias is a kingdom for children. The entertainment is also devoted to them with a variety of activities: competitions, chocolate workshops, baking and more.
The hotel’s Freckles Kiddies Club was built to provide an abundance of exciting and enjoyable children’s entertainment: Sony playstation, recent movies, challenging games, unique art workshops and more.
The club is open on weekends, holidays and during the months of July and August from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 14:30 to 17:00 p.m. For updated information, please check the weekly entertainment program.

Abukayak – Kayaks and Tubes in Jordan Park
Relaxing and safe sailing among the thick vegetation from Jordan Park to the inlet to Lake Kinneret.
Kayaks: about an hour in a kayak for a couple or a couple with one child of between four and 10 years old.
Tubes: about 1 ½ hours. For age 12 years and over and people who know how to swim only.
Boats: about an hour for four adults or a couple with three children (one child of between 4 and 10 years old).
Family boats: about 1 ½ hours, for six adults or five adults and three children.
The site is well-kept and includes lawns, picnic tables, a snack bar, washrooms, dressing rooms and showers.
For groups: fun days, including sailing, tours (jeeps, cycling or walking) and various other activities.

How to get there: in Jordan Park on the road that circles Lake Kinneret. From the west: turn left at the first turning after Kfar Nahum and Arik Bridge. It is signposted.

Yardenit – Jordan River Baptism Site
The pilgrim baptism site on the banks of the Jordan River. A palm tree boulevard leads up to the site, which features a “Community Wall” describing baptism in various languages that was made especially by a Jerusalem artist. The visitors’ center was designed in the spirit of ancient motifs and has a canal of Jordan River water flowing through it.
Additional facilities: the spacious Mongolian Experience restaurant overlooking the Jordan River and its landscape, a Galilean bazaar, a promenade along the Jordan River and large parking lots.
Special activities: pilgrim baptism ceremonies, including baptism cape rental and baptism certificates.

International Birdwatching Center of the Jordan Valley – Kibbutz Kfar Ruppin
The International Birdwatching Center operates throughout the year. The site and its surroundings feature a huge variety of birds. Birdwatching tours and special family events are offered.
Training center: guided tours along the banks of the Jordan River and the Peace border (tours customized according to visitors’ requests).
Accommodation: a pleasant guesthouse is available for families and groups.

About the site:
The only farm in Israel producing silk and honey. Gan Guru – Australian Park on Kibbutz Nir David
The Australian Park covers 1.2 hectares of typical Australian vegetation and creeks. The park features a variety of Australian animals, including koala bears, laughing kookaburras, cassowaries, Marino sheep, mini cockatoos and five species of kangaroo. Only at Gan Guru can you walk around among the kangaroos and pet them. The Gan Hashlosha restaurant next to the park specializes in kosher meat and fish dishes. The park also features a maze formed by vegetation – the only of its kind in Israel, boomerang throwing training, boomerang throwing and making demonstrations, spacious lawns and unique Aboriginal totem poles.

Gan Hashlosha National Park (Sahne)
Gan Hashlosha is a natural water park for the whole family, which surrounds a spring flowing under a natural pool that is divided by bridges and waterfalls. The temperature of the water is constant and warm. The water is surrounded by large picnic lawns and diverse vegetation. There are slides and a playground for children and toddlers at the site.
Additional attractions:
A regional Mediterranean archaeological museum, a Stockage and Tower restoration site, an ancient flour mill and a restaurant-coffee shop.
The administrative building includes an information office and first-aid station. The park is equipped with washrooms, dressing rooms and hot water showers.

The park is located off Route 669 at the foot of the Gilboa in the Beit Shean valley, between Kibbutz Beit Alpha and Nir David. From Megiddo junction travel towards Afula, turn right at Hasargel junction and continue to the end to the Afula-Beit Shean road. Turn towards Beit Shean, then turn right again at Hashita junction and continue until you reach Gan Hashlosha.

Maayan Harod National Park
The Maayan Harod National Park is a resort and recreation park of heritage and historical value from biblical times and early settlement in the valley. It houses the Gideon cave where Gideon used the “water test” to select 300 out of 3000 soldiers. The park features a large swimming pool, kiddies’ playground, sports field, snack bar and dressing rooms, and offers spectacular views of the Harod valley.
Opening hours: Winter: 08:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m.; summer: 08:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.; July-August: until 18:00 p.m. Saturday and holiday evenings, the park closes earlier than usual.

Come and enjoy an exciting trip in a horse-drawn carriage in the southern Jordan valley region. We’ll sing Rachel’s songs together and get a taste of Ori the coachman’s stories.
