Biblical Zoo
Jerusalem’s most famous zoo is located in a stunning landscape between the city’s hills in an area covering 250 dunams (60 acres).
In the center, there is an artificial lake with islands housing monkeys and a wide variety of different animals with spacious displays and no cages.
The zoological collection includes, among other things, endangered animals along with animals from the Land of Israel mentioned in the Bible.
The park also has animals from all over the globe, including rainforest, desert, and other habitats. You can see animals in various complexes in the zoo, including the large birdwatching areas, small animal pavilions, South America complex, Africa complex, and Biblical animals complex.
There is also a display of penguins, a unique birding trail, and the Land of the Lemurs.
New attractions - Adventure garden for children, artistic experience for adults, “Comfort Box” sculpture garden with large animal sculptures made of stone pebbles, mirrors, and mosaics.
The sculptures were made by the sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle.
For kids - Petting and feeding area, indoor train (not available on Saturdays and holidays), large adventure facility, and an ecological maze.
For students in groups - Tours on various topics that must be booked in advance.
The zoo’s capacity is 11,000 Guests.
The length of the visit (with or without a guided tour) is usually 2-3 hours.
Additional services: Water fountains, toilets, theater hall, souvenir shop, dining area, guided tours/ instruction, petting farm, playgrounds, and snack bar.

A jumping experience in Kibbutz Tzova.

Jerusalem Botanical Gardens
Visiting year-round offers a colorful experience and offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life to be in nature and enjoy a unique collection of plants from around the globe. The gardens boast a greenhouse with spectacular flowers, including orchards and insect-eating plants. The gardens have ponds, canals, and waterfalls, including aquatic plants and riverbank vegetation. There are guided tours, activities for kids, exhibits, and events.

Time Elevator Jerusalem
A multi-sensory experiential exhibition spanning 3,000 years of Jerusalem’s history by using the most innovative means to convey the fascinating history of this unique city. The seats move in six axes of motion inside a special hall with three huge screens. During this unique experience, you’ll feel like you’re descending into the depths of the city’s history, and even becoming a part of it!
The actor Chaim Topol (from Fiddler on the Roof) makes a cameo as Shalem, a 3000-year old guide who leads you into a fascinating journey into the depths of the city’s various levels. At the end of the journey, the Time Elevator takes you back to Beit Argon, but before that you’ll enjoy modern Jerusalem from a bird’s-eye view and truly understand how the city draws inspiration from its long past, while continually looking towards the future.

Ein Yael
An agricultural farm from the Roman era featuring a variety of creative workshops reconstructing traditional methods of arts and crafts. In Refaim Stream, at the mouth of a spring, is the special site “Ein Yael”, or “Yael’s Spring”.
Throughout history, various farms have been established around the lush spring. The Roman-era settlement is particularly striking because of its baths and magnificent mosaics.
Currently, various traditional crafts and arts are being reconstructed and restored in Ein Yael, with the help of activities in creative workshops open to anyone who is interested. Workshops include basket weaving, frescos, mosaics, weaving, olive oil production, perfume production, grape treading in the winepress, jewelry and musical instruments from natural materials, agriculture, and ceramics.
